Publishing Guidelines
For the convenience of the Authors, we created the ARTICLE TEMPLATE.
GENERAL GUIDELINES:
1. The articles should be submitted in electronic version together with the AUTHOR'S SUBMISSION FORM to the following email addresses:
a) Law: apikulska@wpia.uni.lodz.pl or aliszewska@wpia.uni.lodz.pl
b) Economics: tomasz.dorozynski@uni.lodz.pl or agata.wieczorek@uni.lodz.pl
2. We publish articles either in Polish or in English. Publishing in other languages is also allowed, however, English is the preferred language.
3. The publication, including the abstract and bibliography, should not exceed 40,000 characters with spaces.
4. Please provide the Authors’ affiliation after the title of the article in the following order:
a) Degree or academic title
b) University
c) Faculty
d) Department
e) E-mail address

5. The article should consist of the following sections:
a) Abstract
b) Keywords
c) JEL classification (Economy section only)
d) Introduction
e) Sections, subsections (optional)
f) Conclusions/Summary
g) Bibliography
h) Title and abstract in Polish
i) Keywords in Polish
6. Abstracts must be between 250 and 400 words long and must include the following elements:
a) Background: explanation of why the study was conducted
b) Research purpose: question(s) being answered; research thesis
c) Methods: a way of conducting research
d) Conclusions: results and conclusions from the research
7. Keywords (3-5) – words in the article's title should not be repeated in the keywords.
8. The titles of sections and subsections of the article should be numbered.
9. The article's conclusions should contain a summary of the considerations and should not contain such elements as motivations for research or a description of the article’s content.
EDITORIAL GUIDELINES:
10. Papers should be written in British or American English, but not a mixture of both.
11. The files should be submitted in .doc or .docx format.
12. Font type: Times New Roman, 12 pt.
13. Line spacing: 1.5.
14. Indentation: 0.6 cm (no spacing before and after paragraphs).
15. Text in tables, figures, footnotes, bibliography, summary: 10 pt.
16. Numbers 1–10 should be written in words. Numbers 11+ should be written as figures.
17. When a number is at the beginning of the sentence, it should be written in words.
18. The first time you mention an abbreviation or acronym, you must explain what it means. All subsequent uses, except in titles of figures, should use the abbreviation/acronym (e.g., Poland joined the European Union (EU) in 2004. Since joining the EU, there has been...).
19. Large numbers in English must be separated by a comma, e.g., 1,000 – not 1 000 and not 1.000.
20. Small numbers are separated by a full stop, e.g., 0.5 not 0,5.
21. For page ranges, it should be with an "en dash" not a hyphen.
22. Graphs, tables, and other inserted objects should be prepared in shades of grey. It is advisable to insert source files so that it would be possible to correct them after the editorial review. Equations, diagrams, graphs, and tables should not be scanned. The bitmap resolution should be 300-600 dpi. Numbering should be continuous, with captions and numbers above the graph or table, source under the graph or table, left aligned – font size: 10 pt.
23. Graphs and tables should be placed in the appropriate places of the text (as close as possible to the references). For every cited table, diagram, or graph, one should provide the source or information 'Source: own work'.
24. References should be placed in a footnote at the bottom of the page (please note the need to specify the scope of the cited pages of articles published in journals and co-authored monographs) - see the ARTICLE TEMPLATE.
25. The bibliography should be placed at the end of the paper in alphabetical order (please note the need to provide the full range of pages of articles published in journals and co-authored monographs) - see the ARTICLE TEMPLATE.
