ORIGINAL TITLE: Traces de ségrégation de glace en lentilles associées aux sols et phénomènes périglaciaires fossiles

The possibilities of microscopic studies of frost-induced structures, both in pedogenesis and stratigraphy, are presented. It is demonstrated that microstructural studies applied to Quaternary stratigraphy enable reconstruction of the paleoclimatic sequence of the profile with an accuracy equal to that of palynological results; the only requirement is that these studies be linked to pedological and morphological observations.
