This paper examines nivational landforms around Slaettaratindur in the Faroe Islands, based on 1963 fieldwork. Three main types were identified: snow-patch platforms, nivation ridges and rock benches. Their spatial distribution enabled the reconstruction of a past snowline that once lay below the summit. The features are no longer actively forming, suggesting they are relict. The findings contribute to understanding the palaeoclimate of the region and the influence of slope aspect and precipitation on snowline positioning.
