Stratified slope deposits near Chodzież

In the region of Chodzieź (Great Poland) three localities with stratified slope deposits were found to occur. Distinctly marked stratification and good sorting of the material indicate that their formation is mainly due to water-action. The deposits are characterized by some plication-like disturbances and far-advanced disintegration (pulverulence). These facts show that the slope deposits were formed under periglacial conditions during the recession of the Baltic glaciation.
