Early Vistulian permafrost occurrence in north-west Poland

Pseudomorfozy po klinach lodowych oraz kopalne szczeliny mrozowe zostały zidentyfikowane w osadach wczesnego vistulianu w Starym Kurowie, w północno-zachodniej Polsce. Są one położone pomiędzy dwiema warstwami organicznymi: dolna utworzyła się podczas interstadiału Brørup, natomiast górna podczas interstadiału Odderade. Obecność pseudomorfoz po klinach lodowych w tak jednoznacznym kontekście stratygraficznym wskazuje, że okres pomiędzy tymi dwoma interstadiałami był zimnym okresem o randze stadiału. Sprzyjał on rozwojowi wieloletniej zmarzliny i został nazwany stadiałem Stare Kurowo.
