Periglacial tundra structures in Tychów

In an open pit near Tychów, at a depth of 4.5 meters from the surface, there is a zone of fossilized, periglacial tundra structures of frost mound (the “bugor” type). The age of these structures, based on current research, is difficult to determine; either the Middle-Polish or Baltic glaciations are possible.
