Periglacial structures in the Late-Pleistocene stratigraphy of Belgium

Periglacial phenomena, such as frost-crack structures, cryoturbations, and desert pavement, within Late Pleistocene deposits exhibit such uniformity in appearance and frequency that they constitute important stratigraphic markers.
In this article, the periglacial phenomena used as reference markers are described, their genesis is briefly discussed, and their stratigraphic position is precisely determined.
