The annual Rozprawy Komisji Językowej Łódzkiego Towarzystwa Naukowego / Dissertations of Language Committee of Lodz Learned Society was established in 1954. Articles featured in Dissertations... concentrate on issues from numerous linguistic fields which present various research methodologies. Treatises and articles are of theoretical-methodological and material representing nature. Apart from papers in Polish studies, Dissertations... publishes also Slavonic articles and compendious works with reference to Indo-European state. The authors of articles are mainly linguists from Lodz; however, besides them there are scientists from outside Lodz and abroad who represent all generations.
