Journal scope

The annual Rozprawy Komisji Językowej Łódzkiego Towarzystwa Naukowego / Dissertations of Language Committee of Lodz Learned Society was established in 1954. Articles published in Dissertations address issues from numerous linguistic subdisciplines and represent a variety of research methodologies. The journal features both theoretical and methodological studies as well as empirical, data-based analyses.

In addition to papers in Polish linguistics, Dissertations also publishes works in Slavic studies and comprehensive studies concerning Indo-European linguistics. The authors are primarily linguists affiliated with Łódź; however, the journal also includes contributions from scholars representing other academic centres in Poland and abroad, across different generations of researchers.
