Some results of paleobiocoenosic studies of Mikulino (Mgin) deposits in the Rostov Basin, region of Yaroslavl

This study presents a complex palaeobiocoenotic analysis of Mikulino (Mgin) interglacial peat bogs in the Rostov Basin based on pollen analysis, macrofossils, stratigraphic data and geomorphological context. Using diverse palaeobotanical methods, the author reconstructed vegetation succession in six distinct phases, reflecting climatic changes during the Upper Pleistocene. The results contribute to better understanding of palaeogeographic conditions, sediment chronology and ecological dynamics in Eastern Europe during interglacial periods.
