ORIGINAL TITLE: Carte des extensions glaciaires du Ruwenzori (Versant Congolais)
The map was constructed using a topographic base map: a 1:50,000 scale map published by the Uganda Department of Geodesy; surveying field documentation collected during exploration missions in 1952, 1954, 1956, and 1958 (Belgian Congo National Parks Institute), and aerial photographs from Harvard, MacLachlan & Co., Nairobi, and the Belgian Congo Geographical Institute. This mapping provides only a preliminary sketch, and more precise and methodical work will require a combination of aerial photographic analysis and field verification analyses.
