Periglacial slope development in the Ślęża massive

The paper contains a description of periglacial and pre-periglacial covers and deposits, that are wide spread throughout the Ślęża massive. The writer tries to interprete their significance in the history of the Iandscape. Erosional surfaces were found to have their counterparts in accumulational surfaces. As a result of the various climates under which the geomorphic processes were operating, the slopes are polygenic in character. In the present-day discordant landscape of the massive, those of the external features that are best preserved, are attributed to the periglacial environment of the Baltic glaciation.
