The author visited the two chief geographic centers of Roumania - at Bucarest and Cluj. He had numerous discussions with Roumanian geographers and collected some observations during his excursion to the region of Bucarest. On the support of these data the writer conjectures to the presence of periglacial structures in the Walachian Plain. Roumanian loess widely differs from Polish loess. Some of the formations occurring in the Walachian Plain which are belived to be loess, should be regarded as sandy dusts accumulated by running water.
