ORIGINAL TITLE: Cryoturbations en forme de stries enracinées parallèles à la pente
On the Plateau des Tailles (Belgian Ardennes), a trench revealed the presence, on a slope of less than 2°, of periglacial festoon structures which, in horizontal plan, which did not reach the surface. They consist either of masses of reddened quartzofeldspathic debris resulting from freezing of the bedrock, or of kaolin charged with quartzitic blocks. The structures are parallel to the general slope. The shape of the structure is related to drainage, which likely directed the freezing effect. The reddening of the clasts is due to frost fragmentation of the bedrock during the Quaternary.
