Tropajony na rzymskich monetach w okresie republiki i wczesnego cesarstwa. Kontekst historyczno-typologiczny

Artykuł koncentruje się na przedstawieniach tropajonów na rzymskich monetach w okresie republiki i cesarstwa. Analizując w pierwszej kolejności najstarsze emisje z III w. p.n.e. z przedstawieniem Wiktorii wieńczącej trofeum, która to była odpowiedzią na propagandę wielu miast z południa Italii, które w czasie II wojny punickiej wspierały Hannibala. Następnie przeanalizowane zostały motywy tropajonów wykorzystywane przez triumwirów monetarnych dla uczczenia, kampanii militarnych swoich przodków. Na koniec zaś emisje imperialne, które prezentowały trofea wkomponowane w szerszy kontekst architektoniczny, m.in. jako element łuków honoryfikacyjnych. Ponadto tekst ten zwraca uwagę na rozwój mentalności imperialnej Rzymian, która kreowana była dzięki różnego rodzaju przedstawieniom wizualnym m.in. na monetach, gdzie przez cały okres republiki propagowano idę militarnego męstwa, często ukazywanego za pomocą tropajonów
