Późnoglacjalne pingo i rozwój doliny w rejonie Boorne koło Wijnjeterp, Fryzja, Holandia

Artykuł jest rezultatem prac terenowych wykonanych w latach 1957-1959, podczas których zostały odkryte pozostałości pingo, całkowicie wypełnione przez torfy.
Pingo istniało prawdopodobnie do okresu starszego dryasu. Nie znaleziono żadnych datowalnych śladów z fazy jego powstawania. Formowanie się torfu w eutroficznym środowisku pozostałości pingo w Wijnjeterp (Fryzja, odwiert 29B) rozpoczęło się w starszym dryasie i trwało aż do subboreału. Przebadane profile nie dostarczyły żadnych informacji na temat historii roślinności pod koniec subborealu i w całym subatlantyku. W próbkach z najwyższych warstw (subborealny) widoczny jest wpływ człowieka neolitycznego na środowisko naturalne.
