TYTUŁ ORYGINALNY: La stratigraphie des loess de la dernière période glaciaire
Lessy należące do zlodowacenia bałtyckiego tworzą trzy serie stratygraficzne. Seria dolna spoczywa na eemskiej glebie interglacjalnej i należy do stadium szczecińskiego. Pokrywający ją brunatny czarnoziem rozwinął się podczas interstadiału brørup. Serie lessu środkowa i górna odpowiadają stadium głównemu. Gleba kopalna, która je rozdziela powstała w interstadiale paudorf.
Pełne profile stratygraficzne lessów obserwuje się jedynie we wschodniej i centralnej części pasa wyżyn w Polsce. W kierunku zachodnim poszczególne serie lessów stają się coraz cieńsze. Często pojawiają się powierzchnie niezgodności, a profil lessu staje się ograniczony i niekompletny.
