Zlodowacenia w Górach Wierchojańskich i ich miejsce w geochronologii radiowęglowej późnego antropogenu Syberii

Badania geochronologii radiowęglowej w Syberii pozwoliły na doprecyzowanie wieku głównych zlodowaceń plejstoceńskich i holocenu, a także na korelację fluktuacji klimatycznych z innymi obszarami półkuli północnej. Datowania 14C z rejonu Jeniseju i Gór Wierchojańskich wykazały złożoną sekwencję stadiałów i interstadiałów, w tym wydłużony interglacjał kargiński (50-25 tys. lat BP) oraz szczególne znaczenie krótkotrwałego stadiału ziganskiego (~33-30 tys. lat BP). Wyniki te dowodzą, że choć zmiany klimatyczne były synchroniczne globalnie, to procesy glacjalne w regionie wierchojańskim miały lokalną specyfikę, związaną m.in. z uwarunkowaniami tektonicznymi i orograficznymi.
